Can't a guy just fish for some trout....

Y'know this season has pretty much been a write-off for lakers. Firstly - the weather hasn't exactly been cooperating. Between rain-forest weather and tornados touching down it hasn't been much of a summer so we haven't been up as much. Sandra's folks like to fish for bass so all other times have been spent smallie hunting. Oh yeah, then we have good weather and my motor dies (which is fixed now!)

The trout above is from August - Sandra's folks kept this one. There were 2 more 2-3 lb trout that I caught last week but I didn't have my camera with me.

Haven't posted or fished much this season folks, sorry 'bout that. Seems like I've had even less time this year to fish than last year because of a combination of less than ideal conditions and just being busy / vacations etc.

Oh yeah, I forgot - my Minn Kota Vector 3X trolling motor is dead, only goes 0 or 100% power and nothing inbetween - it's going to cost $250+ to fix (and 2 additional weeks). Oh yeah and my battery charger died too. Arg. I guess I shouldn't leave them connected when I turn on the power to the cottage.

So I got peeved, and got a Minn Kota PowerDrive v2 bow mount and did this to my ski boat:


Got a few looks on the lake as I was quietly trolling beside people's docks... Got a "Look this guy's fishing!" from a few people as well... LOL
