Well we sold the old cottage and are about to finish building the new one. Was out last year since July fishing the new lake when I could. The walleye still elude me here, but we've had some good luck with smallies and pike. A couple of weeks ago I was trolling a Williams Wabler and caught a couple of OOS bass (released of course), and a couple of Pike. Damn the pike are strong.... Then, I was slowly jigging a Gulp on a 5/8 oz Matsuo jighead at around 1 mph and wham.. 8.5 Laker. 1st one... hopefully not the last. Still hunting those Walleye though they are darned tough to catch. I'm missing something.
