So I was trolling the dropoff just now at the river mouth (at night by myself) and I thought I was caught on weeds when the weeds started to strip line off my reel. The damned thing jumped 2 times in the air (didn't know pike jumped), wrapped itself in the line, proceeded to ram my outboard and took me 10-15 minutes to land. Now my boat smells like pike slime! Pike was let go unharmed. Look at the belly on this thing. I think it was about 10 lbs - I couldn't weigh it at night properly. Also caught some smallies - which were let go of course (out of season).

Finally! A Walleye!!!!
I've been trying to catch a walleye on this new lake forever. Fish the mouth of the river they all say... during the walleye opener there must have been 30 boats trolling the mouth. Nothing. Nada. One boat caught 2, that was it. After spending hours upon hours at the mouth of the river, and catching nothing, and seeing no one catching anything, I decided to explore for new spots. Damned river mouth is a farce. Well the first time we tried to fish outside the river area... Joe caught this:
